The Government Rose Garden (formerly known as the Jayalalithaa Rose Garden, Centenary Rose Park and Nootrandu Roja Poonga)

Granted as the ‘Garden of Excellence’ by World Federation of Rose Societies, Rose Garden is one of the biggest rose gardens in India. Situated on the Elk Hill in Vijayanagaram of Ooty, the garden is a wonderland for nature darlings. You can have an enchanting perspective of in excess of 20,000 assortments of roses, gathered from various parts of the world.

Today this garden has the largest collections of roses in the country like Hybrid Tea Roses, miniature rose, Floribunda, Ramblers, roses of unusual colours like black and green are some of the more than 3,000 varieties of roses that will captivate your senses.

Assortments incorporate roses like Hybrid tea Roses, scaled down rose, Floribunda, Ramblers, Yakimour and Polyanthas, which will abandon you entranced with their scent. Collected in five bending patios, the garden is kept up by Tamil Nadu Horticulture Department. Aside from beautiful roses, the place is additionally well known for its holy messenger statue.
